4 1/2 WS Hand Plane

#4 1/2 WS hand plane. Weighs close to 5 pounds and is equipped with a 2 3/8” wide blade. Made in Birmingham, England by a company that was taken over by Woden and then by Record in 1961. The lever cap is polished brass. The beech handles have been re-varnished. The sole is flat and the blade sharpened. In great working order. The beefy #4 1/2 is not as common as the smaller #4. Fully restored by Chris, a member of our Vintage Tool Group.
