This CNC machine has a very good Pro (Nema 34) drive system, with large motors, and a very good 8 HP spindle. It is like the one shown in this link, just a bit bigger: https://www.avidcnc.com/pro60120-5-x-10-cncrouter-machine-p-1338.html
The machine has long, continuous rails and rack and pinion gearing. Ie, each of the the Y axis’ are a long extrusion, with a long linear rail and gear rack.
The motors are large NEMA 34 motors and are controlled by the avid motor control system. The Z axis uses a ball-screw and heavy duty components. The Spindle is 8.7 HP and can be wired using a 2-phase 220 V, or 3 phase 208 V.
An adapter plug is provided so it can be used with 220 V single phase.
The spindle is a high quality Italian component, but does not have auto- tool change capability.
The spindle is air cooled, and plugs into the Avid spindle control box. The spindle control box plugs into the CNC control box, so that the spindle is managed by Mach 4. The spindle starts and stops and you can set the speed via Mach 4.
