These vintage Dagging Shears, with a Warranted Sheffield stamp, are a rare find and an example of the craftsmanship of Sheffield, England from the 19th and early 20th century. This region had a reputation for the finest quality steel. Originally used for trimming wool from sheep’s hindquarters, also useful for delicate cutting jobs on the farm or garden. These shears are a timeless design that can be traced back to 20 BC. Manufactured between 1915 – 1950, the coveted and protected Warranted Sheffield stamp makes them a unique addition to your vintage tool collection or for use in your garden this Spring.
